CLH Foundation Annual “A Red Carpet Evening” raises awareness as well as $54,000 for vital programs

Midland, ON … CLH Foundation’s signature annual fundraising event, “A Red Carpet Evening”, highlights the work of CLH Developmental Support Services and raises money to support CLH programs and initiatives for individuals with developmental support needs.  This year, in line with the gala’s theme of “Community”, the proceeds will be used to enhance the community learning and social place at CLH’s Olive Street location –  to serve not only those who currently participate in our programs but also those who live and work in the community and are supported by CLH.

More than 325 guests gathered on February 22, 2020 at the Quality Inn and Conference Centre for the 11th annual “A Red Carpet Evening” to enjoy dinner, live and silent auctions, and a performance by award-winning singer and guitarist Colin James. Tickets to the evening had sold in record time – this community is tremendously supportive of CLH and the individuals the agency serves: by night’s end, the net proceeds exceeded the target, raising almost $54,000.

CLH Foundation Board President and Gala Chair Sarah Kitchen: “The title of the “impact” video which premiered at the Gala was “Community” and celebrated the spirit of community at CLH and the remarkable support that surrounds CLH. This is wonderfully demonstrated by the generosity of the business community in sponsoring, donating prizes, and purchasing tables. We are so grateful for their commitment and for the many community members who generously support CLH Foundation. They help further our mission to provide resources to CLH Developmental Support Services: this directly translates to meaningful impact across CLH programs and greatly benefits the people who access those programs and services.”

CLH Developmental Support Services provides specialized services to children, youth and adults. In 2020 CLH will serve 200 adults and more than 1800 families, youth and children. CLH is known for its knowledge, passion, and mission to empower those it supports by finding progressive ways to promote independence, to thrive, and to be included in the everyday life of their community. Thanks to our tremendous sponsors, guests and supporters, this year’s “A Red Carpet Evening” has contributed greatly to our commitment to Support, Include and Empower.
