“Chip-In” to support valuable programming that enriches the lives of CLH-supported individuals

Each summer, you and your fellow golfers, donors and sponsors gather for a tournament in support of CLH Foundation. In that one day, you raise significant dollars that make a positive impact all year long. A day of CLH golf supports many days of enriched, engaging programs for adults with developmental disabilities who are supported by CLH Developmental Support Services.

Your support through the Golf Tournament provided 40 individuals with a wonderful summer day trip to see the Blue Jays play; it made possible the ever-popular “Hoe Down” at the Penetanguishene Legion; and it was instrumental in including the full CLH supported community in a wonderful Christmas dinner dance. Your participation benefits those who live in CLH residences, those who are in the Supported Independent Living program and the many who take part in our Supported Employment Program.

This year we were unable to host the CLH Foundation golf tournament, and the means of engaging and supporting CLH individuals looks very different in this unprecedented time – but the need to connect and to feel part of a community does not change. Although we won’t golf this year, I hope you will still consider “chipping-in” with a donation to signal your continued support.

At the onset of the pandemic, we changed our traditional programs to the “CLH Virtual Day Program,” providing individuals with up-to-date access to technology and high quality, hands-on, interactive opportunities. We are in Week 18 of the program, and our supported individuals have taken it up with enthusiasm.

Your donation will help support virtual theatre workshops, art classes, special guest speakers, and opportunities to compete for bragging rights and prizes in house-led competitions – most of all, your support allows meaningful programming to continue to be delivered directly to the people supported in a way that is not only engaging, but also with safety in mind.

While we are unable to host many ‘in-person’ events this year, we rely on donations like yours, at any level you are can consider. We are grateful for your support, and welcome your partnership in providing enriched experiences and programs to individuals in our CLH community.

Yours Sincerely,

Sarah Kitchen
